floating theaters built on a barge that was pushed by a steamboat.
These played small towns along the Mississippi River. Unlike the
boat shown in the movie "Showboat", these did not have an engine.
They were gaudy and attention grabbing which is why we say someone
who is being the life of the party is "showboating".

House Bill 2201 California's deadly Eaton Fire's potential origin after video clues emerge, indicate the fire was likely the result of an electrical power line mal-function. Just one example of many. “Value engineering” where all value
is engineered out of the product to maximize profits in the
short term. The value for the stockholder, or
more properly the senior executives, whose pay is based upon
short term profit, is definitely engineered in.
